Meira Care’s virtual doctors are now in Ontario pharmacies for a better prescription experience.
Meira Care is thrilled to be partnering with pharmacies to ensure Ontario residents have access to the prescriptions they need so that they can feel better, faster.
We have collaborated with MedCare Drug Mart, Main Street Pharmasave, Northland Pharmacy , Burlington Heights IDA Pharmacy, Thorold Medical Pharmacy and Tower Street Guardian Pharmacy. Our partner pharmacies are proud to provide expanded and collaborative care within their communities.
Patients can now see a doctor online by phone or video call right from the pharmacy’s private consultation room.
No Refill? No Problem!
We understand that getting to your doctor can be challenging at times. With a busy schedule combined with your doctor not being available at the time you may want them to be, can result in poor adherence to prescribed regimens. This in turn can result in serious health consequences.
So, instead of putting off that doctor’s appointment or sitting in a waiting room exposing yourself to other patients, you can now see one of Meira Care’s virtual doctors right from the pharmacy. Your prescription can be filled and ready for pick-up at the counter within a short amount of time.
How It Works!
The process is quite simple.
- The patient books an appointment by phone call or by visiting the Meira Care website or app.
- The patient is connected with a virtual doctor by phone call or video chat within 15 minutes.
- Upon completion of the consultation, a prescription is sent to the pharmacy for easy counter pick-up.
Meira Care’s virtual doctors can prescribe medications for common healthcare concerns such as a flu, eye infection, medication refill, urinary tract infection, fever, cold sore, birth control pills, high blood pressure follow ups and more
Meira Care’s vision is to deliver compassionate and convenient healthcare to Ontario residents whenever and wherever they need it. We are dedicated and committed to providing patient-centred virtual care for the entire family. We want to empower patients to become more active participants in their own care.
